Good Morning. I think Roz has some WOWs from yesterday's cheering gig
I looked on my cell this morning and there was a text from Roz. lol I'll let her tell it but what a difference in physical fitness after losing all her extra weight. Yeah, Roz!
Newbies and pre-ops, all the pain and new skills you have to learn post-op are definitely worth it!
Y'all have a great Sunday!

It was a great day yesterday! First..the 7 teams we took did OK..we definitely didn't sweep 1st's like we normally do but local comps are the hardest emotionally on the girls because of friends and enemies being on the other squads.
They hold the comp at the Pitt basketball complex and it has an enormous amount of steps. Before WLS I used to not drink or eat because it was such an effort to "climb" all of those steps to get to the bathroom or to the food court. Fortunately I didn't have children, so extra trips to the bathroom and getting food wasn't a necessity. YES....I sacrificed food to save myself from exhaustion and a weeks worth of discomfort.
Yesterday I sat there and watched overweight individuals holding onto the railings pulling themselves up and huffing and puffing to the top. The ones with small children spent most of their day doing this and after a few trips they were actually stopping after each small level to rest. My heart went out to them.
On a good note...I made 4 trips to the BR (protein drinks), 3 times to meet family, 1 time to the food court, and then 1 to exit the comp. and I RAN THE STEPS EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!!!! My DH kept telling me to stop that I was going to hurt myself....I have to admit my legs are a little sore today but it made me feel so liberating!!!
I know this is long but there is one more thing I noticed. All of those "heavy" moms were the ones wearing the bright colored shirts with their kids names painted on them and caring bells and noise makers. Most of the "thin" moms were wearing very stylish clothes in their teams colors with a cute jacket or sweater over it with jewlery to match. Guess What...My FCA COACHES MOM Shirt needs to put away!! I don't need to be difined as my Kids Mom anymore...it's time to grow up and Be ME!!!
