I'm with you Kelli.  Sometimes I can be so good and then fall off for a couple of days.  I haven't had the full blown dumping.  I get the heart racing and pains in my stomach but never doubled over sick feeling.  Sometimes I wish I did!!

I have got to kick the sugar to the curb after eating candy at home and work.  I think a weekly check in is a great idea.

Awesome!  Thanks for joining in!!  Eating at work is always difficult---there is always a potluck, birthday or some type of sugary treat available.  I tend to stay away from the desserts but the potlucks can be difficult to navigate--ya never know what someone has added into the simplest protein dish.

I'm in too Shammy!! Interesting on the dumping thing...I heard that anytime the body receives a tremendous amount of sugar and or fat and has a reaction...The symptoms are dumping. But the term dumping and what we know as rnyers is still the same. So I thought that was interesting because as a former diabetic I would react badly to overload of sugar. Now I know...

I did dump once because Starbucks gave me real sugar syrup instead of sugar free...um not pretty at all.

Thanks for starting this topic. Awesome stuff

Non-SF syrup in my coffee is one of my worst fears.  I'm so anal about it---I always confirm with the barista that they used SF syrup and follow it with--I'm a diabetic and I need to certain.  They usually look confident or panicked and will re-make my order.  I'm not taking any chances!

Add me to your thread.  I make a SF jello that has celery and apples.  I just read something that jogged my memory about those being two of the things you want to buy organic.  I think I am going back to trying to eat more organic fruits and veggies.

I too want to eat healthier, not just less.  I am imagining myself "fencing" off those carbs.  I have to re-assess and kick those back to the curb every once in a while.

Thanks for the post.  I am going to set some goals along this line.  Lin

I'm with you on the organic and what little I do consume--I want it to be of a high quality!  Your jello sounds yummy!  Thanks for joining!

Boy,did I need this! Two weeks ago a bag of Lays lightly saled pota*********jumped in the grocery cart. They beckoned me at night, and I gave in to them and then felt so mad.....They are gone and today I didn't walk down that aisle. I still deal with the "head" stuff and struggle but I am not going to give up-count me in! Brenda

Brenda--chips and crackers are my weakness!  I like salty over sweet and those darn chips (baked lays) are always calling my name!  Ughhhh!  Thanks for joining!

Hey, I'm here!   I try to eat as much organic as I can.  I figure we eat so little, it may as well be good.  I went to lunch with friends today and made sure they had organic beef so I could have a hamburger.

I've met my challenge with the fun sized candy bars at work this week.  I had a couple of them and really want them banned from the face of the earth.  Those things will always be around but that doesn't mean I need to stick it in my face.  I don't dump, but I don't want that to be an excuse.

I'm still in the losing phase and can't afford to let something like a fun sized anything stand between me and getting to goal.  So for me, this is clean up the sugar week.  In the 90's I went 9 years without a bite of sugar so I know it's just the initial few days when it's head hunger, then it goes away.

Great idea Shammy.  I know I need all the support I can get!  :)
