Is it possible to still be hormonal postop mess?

I agree with everyone!  We are all allowed our grumpiness every once in awhile.  I love my 13 year old DD with all my heart, but she is a mini me and drives me crazy.  I'm the dumbest person on earth right now, because she knows everything.  I also live with the alternative having lost a child, so I wouldn't change it for the world.  Sometimes just getting away and taking a deep breath helps.  If that doesn't work, come on here and rant some more, we can take it.

**** RAISES HAND*****
Call Me, Call Me, Call ME, My TURN LOL.....

Ok all seriousness now. Life is a B*TCH! It throws us hard balls and soft balls, I think for the majority of us, we are getting hard balls. I cant say anything about hormones because my are all jacked up! You are even doing better than I am with yoga, I am still just taking a walk.

Goruchie Pouchie can be broguht on by STRESS and boy girl, do you have it! ( most of us) eat and eat when we are stressed, that could be a problem and pouchie can be saying, HECK NO! You did this to me, I am NOT rewarding YOU! Maybe it is time for a little change, I know I cant go a day without my prilosec, maybe some meditation could be in order here.

TEENAGERS! Thats all that needs to be said, I have 2 of them also but also an 8 yr old and a 5 yr old. One of mine could care less about his future (13) and the other is a know it all show off that is more than happy to voice her opinion(17)! Somedays we love them and others we wish we could drop them off at the circus ( heck somedays they fit in better there). Personally I found that the counseling for the kids did NOT work! DS#2 is so smart, he just tells them exactly what they want to hear, Waiting for someone to jack him up one day. Good Luck with that department and when you get some answers, send them my way ok.

Ths dog, maybe he ate something that does not agree, I was told to give them a pepto chewable in the past and still do when they start to constantly get sick, might work.

HUSBANDS! Fits right in with TEENAGERS! They can be a major pain in the A$$, especially when they dont answer the right way, Tell him, hair is not permanent and it will regrow out, but right now, I LOVE IT! Better than being bald. Like the other poster said, maybe he was fishing for the right thing to say, he may know that you are stressing right now and did not want to add anything else to it. Easy way out to be honest.

Stop looking at yourself as FAT! I am losing slowly too but I found if I do not look at myself as fat, it helps. Start looking at yourself as getting healthy. 67 pounds is NOTHING to be ashamed of. Think of 4 months ago when you could say, man I wish I was thinner and not as ( insert anything, tired, depressed, unhealthy) now you can say, I have lost 67 pounds and I am feeling great! I couldnt have done it without my surgery and would not change it for the world. We really are our biggest critics and we can pick every small flaw from every place on our bodies. Find something that looks great right now and focus on that. It will get easier in time.....

Ok, now the collections, hell we all have been there and done that, it will pass easily and quickly.

So maybe now, grab a nice drink, take a long walk, get a nice breath of fresh air ( bubble bath may help also) and try to relax, everything happens for a reason, we may never know what it is but it always makes us stronger as an individual.... (((((((((HUGS))))))))
Hopefully it will blow over quickly and you can feel better and back to your happy self real soon...

Sorry so long :)

Oh Maria - I hope things get better for you soon.  When I get stressed my pouch tightens up and I can hardly get anything in it.  I had to go on the carafate for about a week a while back and it really made a difference.  It was really expensive though.  I know that if I will exercise when I am stressed it gets better - but that is not what I usually do.

Back in the 80's I got my hair permed in the tight perm everyone was wearing back then and DH said he hated it and I needed to go and get it fixed.  Well - after that he only makes nice comments or no comment about my hair!!  Sometimes they just talk before they think.

I don't know how you do it with 2 teenagers and having to take care of all of your food/vitamins.  It is all I can do to keep up with myself.

Hang in there - it will get better.

Sorry to hear you are having such a stressful go of it, Maria!    Hang in there !!!   I think I'm going to ask my surgeon to take out all of the hormones, too.... you think he will do it???  I would even pay extra for it!

Please post a picture of your new haircut... let us give you the feedback you deserve!  My husband never even notices a new haircut.  I think it's all how they are raised -- in my case it was by wolves.  =)

Take care of yourself and please keep posting!!

You guys are the best!

I love this site. I am feeling better, went to yoga today and just got back from pilates. Feeling less stressed.
I also got some prilosec, and that burning, gnawing feeling in my pouch is alot better.

What was that old song, mama told me there would be days like this!

Thanks guys!

Maria
