Fitness Challenge - November 3
Hey Diana! I'm going dancing tonight. Zumba the past 2 nights have my legs ACHING!! I've done it before and it hasn't affected me like that - and its not like I haven't gone in a long time either.. go figure...
It will probably be the end to my exercise for a few weeks. Unless I get real energetic tomorrow and hop on the elliptical in my living room. I probably should just to see if it still works!

Hi Ladies!
I'm off to the first few minutes of my surgery support group (it's 1.5 miles away, and I'll walk) and then I'm headed over to Alvin Ailey for an Afro-Brazilian/Samba class that I expect to kick my booty. It's my first class at Ailey, and I'm really excited for it!
Last night I went to Zumba after having run in the morning, and that KICKED MY ARSE! Could barely walk. So I didn't run today. Good news was that I was down a pound, though, which always warms the heart.
I'm shifting more towards the dance, because I seem to always go down about a pound (or 3) after each class. I LOVE THAT.

I only did a couple of walks but I added a few leaning push-ups today. It was pretty and crisp outside and the leaves are all crunchy under my feet.

Hi Everyone!
So after tonight's samba class (at Alvin Ailey!), my teacher stopped talking to whomever she was talking to and came to ask me where I'd learned to samba. When I told her it was my first class, she said "well, you must be a dancer, then."
"Yes," I said. "Yes, I am."
Here's a cool video of my instructor. She's in AMAZING shape. And, as you can see, it helps not to be toooo skinny for samba, because it's less about the moves than it is the motion.
