Fitness challenge - November 4

Hey LW's how is everyone? This week has been totally awesome and busy. I am definitely working for my kibble.

Anyways, I am going to pound out a workout tonight and rest tomorrow as I travel back home tomorrow night. I ran for a few minutes yesterday and it was ok. Nothing too strenuous.

So....what about you all?? Zumba? Dancing? 5Ks? Or walks through the parks/city??

Have a safe trip home!

Hip update: They think it's my T-band and some deep muscle in my butt (I forget which one). But they also want me to get an MRI to make sure there is nothing wrong with the joint. That's not in the budget right now, so I have been faithfully doing all the stretches they gave me, and they got me a prescription for some medication that coats my stomach to allow for safe-taking of ibuprofen. The stretches are definitely helping, so for now I will assume there is no problem with the actual joint.

Now on to my work out:
75 minutes on the treadmill, high incline, alternating running/power walking
2 sets of 30 push-ups
2 sets of 200 crunches
2 one minute planks
4x hip stretches/strengthening exercises spread out throughout the day

Wow! That's a hardcore workout! Good job!

Was it the piriformis muscle? My husband had trouble with it and it was really painful.

That's it! Thanks. Yeah, I totally thought it was all my hip, but I showed her where it shot down the front/side of my leg and down my butt. So I think it's multiple problems.

Today's a day of rest for me.  

Good news!  After Zumba, by the next morning, I was down 1 lb.  
After Samba, by the next morning, I was down another lb!

Ballet tomorrow - hopefully I'll see the same???

Dance classes are where it's at!

today i did the wii fit
jogged in place for 30 min and did close to 7 miles

4 mile run in the fog this morning. My goal is to get 19 miles in this week (goes through Sunday). I only have in 7 so far, so I had better get on it!

I walked 15 minutes to work
Walked 45 minutes way too fast at lunchtime.  Felt like I was being dragged along by my walking partner.

Walked 15 minutes home.

So I walked more than other days and my groin hurts so I must be out of alignment again but I'm going to walk more all weekend and add the gym too.
