Very nice!!!  Except for your iron stores (ferritin). Whatcha taken for iron now? You might want to talk to your doc about prescribing Proferrin Forte or getting OTC Proferrin ES from www.Vitalady.com (or other online sources). If you get the Proferrin Forte the only difference is it also has folic acid. Your folate is good now, so you'd be awesome.

Love your protein, albumin, AST, ALT, PTH and calcium. I'd really like to know what your vitamins D and A are though.

Does it make you feel better knowing my Ferritin is actually up from 8 at y 6 month labs? At my 6 months they put me on Maxoron Forte which is an iron supplement that from what Doc said we WLS patients tolerate better. I don't have a problem with constipation anymore that's for dang sure! hahaha my NUT said that's one of the add'l reasons they prescribe that for the patients there is that you don't get the stop up like you normally do with iron

They didn't take my D & A, I'll have to ask next time! Thanks for your input :)
I was also anemic when discharged after surgery so he's excited it's gone up and told me to keep taking my maxoron forte.

How many mg of iron and what form? Proferrin is heme iron. What you're describing sounds like it's heme too. Maybe just not enough.

I'm supposed to be taking 1 capsule per day...I'm not sure how many milligrams it is b/c CVS is stupid and doesn't put it on there...They ticked me off when I changed my scrip to them on Sunday! Anyways I digress...the past 6 months I've been bad about being consistent on it...so now I take it with dinner every nite so should be much better at 18 month appt.
it is a combo product that contains iron along with vitamin C vitamin B12 and folic acid...must be whiy those are so good! hahhaa

See if they can tell you what form of iron and how many mg per dose. If it requires vitamin C, it isn't heme iron. You can add OTC heme iron to your other vites...it's like liver or something--organic and won't interfere with your other iron. I take a combo of carbonyl w/vite C in the afternoons and a heme iron at bedtime. The combo approach works great.
