A Beautiful Day in the Country (pics included)
DH and I spent a wonderful day yesterday out exploring the country where we live. We climbed an old 100 ft. high fire watch lookout tower (I climbed it twice). Then we drove to one of our favorite spots called the artesian well. Back in the 40's the local lead company was out drilling for lead and when they drilled here, they hi****er. They capped it off and then put a brake hub off of an old car or truck and the water has been flowing ever since. Lots of people used to go there to haul water to fill their cisterns. When we were there yesterday there was a young couple with their children there filling their water jugs to take home.
Here are a few pics of our day. I tried to resize them after I pasted them here. So I may have distorted them a bit. But you get the picture. Be sure to go all the way to the bottom to see my favorite pic of the day.

Just me.

I told DH he should've photoshopped my midsection on this one. lol.
Besides the pic of DH and I, this one is my favorite. I think the little kid nursing off of the momma goat is just precious.
