What's up got the SHAKES??
I ate my usual breakfast this morning around 7:30 at 9:30 I got horrible shakes and felt really weak! Could it be low blood sugar?? I sat down with a spoon full of peanut butter. In a few minutes I began to feel better scared me though. Any body else had this happen before?
I am granny sitting for my grandma this weekend. I didn't sleep good last night she was up and down all night. Could it be stress? It freaked me out. I definately don't need to be wigging out this weekend Granny needs me. She is 94 and hasn't had a great week. My mom needed a break so I told her I would keep her. It's like having a baby in the house. Hope she sleeps better tonight I am exhausted already. Bless my Mama's heart.

Sure sounds like low sugars but without testing you can't be sure. Mine has gone low as well and when I get under 80 I start to feel the shakes any lower and I feel a bit sick to my stomach too. My wife is type 1 since a kid and she will drink a pineapple juice to bring up the sugars also that PB you ate will do the trick as well. I think maybe after trying for years to regulate sugars my body now over corrects when I eat a bit more sugars than I should. So I have found I need to only eat a moderate amount of sugars or I will suffer later.
Good for you for helping out with Granny. Sorry to hear you are having a rough day.
It could be the onset of reactive hypoglycemia since you are almost a year out. Some folks start seeing symptoms around that time. But also dehydration is a consideration. Try to drink plenty of fluids and keep the peanut butter handy or peanut butter crackers if you have them. Stay on top of it and if it continues check in with your doc.
Let us know how the rest of the weekend goes.
take care.

Right there with Julie. I have developed Reactive Hypoglycemia and what you described sounds just like it.
What did you eat? I know some people don't know what triggers theirs, I know what triggers mine and I'm very careful not to combine the foods/drink. I've even passed out once from the sugar dropping so low and not eating/drinking something to take care of it (wasn't sure what it was then). It can be dangerous. I need to buy a glucose test kit so when I do have it happen again, I can test my sugar to see for sure. I have confused my drop in blood sugar with dumping too at times - they can have the same symptoms.
