a little sad

So today I packed up more bags of clothes to go to the Thrift store. I mostly wear tee shirts and jeans, nothing sad about getting rid of those. But today I also packed up all my fancy driving outfits. Most were purchased at thrift stores so there wasn't a lot of money in any of them, but a lot of memories. I could tell you which one I wore at what horse show and how we did. I know I'll get to find more, in new sizes, and look even better sitting in the carriage, but for now, it was a little sad.

You should take one of your more colorful outfits and have a bear made wearing the outfit.  We did that with one of my dad's work shirts when he passed away and its very comforting.  You can look at your teddy bear and know how far you've come.

Great idea.  Most are gone already to the Thirft shop but I have a few in another closet that I haven't packed up yet.  Thanks.

Awww, sad but so rewarding.  All of your hard work is going to have you looking just dandy sitting there in the carriage.  I love the picture that you posted.  It's so cool to get a glimpse into your life because I know you love your horses so much.  :)

I love the picture too! I don't have a hobby (for lack of a better term) that goes with certain clothing, but I do remember the slight sadness the first time I packed up clothes.  I don't know why fat clothes were so hard to let go of, I sure didn't miss the weight. I kept one outfit as a reminder, the one from my first before pictures and get it out to look at it about once a month.

You will create new memories in new clothes. Don't get too attached to the middle of the road clothes because you will fly through them too fast.

Teddy bear idea is good, or how about a blanket or quilt with pieces of the outfits you have left.
Then here's to the new memories of the new you in the future!

Thanks for the support everyone.  Most of the things were only worn a time or two so I really hate to cut them all up, but I have the hats that go with each one.  So the job will be to find new outfits to go with the hats, VBG

Awesome achievement. If those were purchased at the thrift store, you may be able to find more of them there also. Just look at it this way, Now you can get smaller sizes!!!
Wat to go on the weight loss!

It may be sadder to lose an expensive wardrobe so I guess I should be glad it was only Thrift store finds.
And certainly harder to replace.
Actually, my everyday wardrobe has more "big names" in it than it every had right now, everything from Thrift Stores.
Thanks for the support everyone.
