didn't realize I was a lightweight!
Hi all,
I didn't realize that this board was here and that I am considered a "lightweight". My BMI is 39 so I guess I just get in there. I've been overweight my entire life. I too started my first diet at 8. Struggled in HS but managed to maintain a relatively low weight but only through terrible eating habits. I had lap band in 2007 but basically have developed an "intolerance" to it. I cant keep anything down when I have fluid in it so now my surgeon said it should come out and I'm planning on doing a revision to VSG. Oh ya, I've gained back all the weight plus 10 pounds. yeah me! ha-ha. Struggling with the whole revision thing. Somedays I'm great with it then others I'm really stressed / scared and thinking "why will this work when the other didn't". So that's where I am now. Planning on revision in December if everything goes as planned.
Glad I found this board and I am looking forward to getting to know you all. It really does help to read everyone's stories and to hear what's going on with them.
Take care and God bless!

I'm not real familiar with revisions, but I've read of a lot of people who have very good luck with it. I know those pre surgery jitters can really get to you. I've been warned by many that it is common to have some depression post-op, and maybe I will, but I was so stressed out building up to very "elective" surgery, I almost buckled! I have no signs of depression yet, and with sitting home, rainy and have not yet moved to " mushy stage, I figure this could be the time to do it, and I haven't!
I bet you will be so relieved once it's done. Doubt you will be sorry. Ask lots of questions. There seems to be someone who can answer it. And welcome!

Welcome to LW's. We are the friendliest, most helpful board on OH and although I'm not sure how many have had revisions, we have several sleeve folks.
