Good Morning. Made it through another week.
Good morning!
TGIF is especially exciting to me because I take Fridays off. It's my only day off, usually, so when I can take it, it's important.
Today I JUST WOKE UP, mostly because I left work at 1:30 am. (It's 10:30 now). I'm going to take the puppy for a gentle run this morning, have a friend coming over at noon to hang out, then who knows what for the rest of the day. Taking it easy.
We're pretty much in my busy season at work, and that doesn't really die down until June, with a little lapse around January. That means 14 hour days, 6-7 days a week. Good thing I love my work. The key will be to incorporate my health concerns into that schedule. Workouts and nutrition cannot be ignored as I usually do in the busy season. So far, I've been great with that, but who knows? I have to be accountable to my health. This board helps a lot with that.
I'm super excited to see the family at Thanksgiving. It'll be the first time most of us have gotten together since our patriarch died 3 years ago. I miss them. (And, I'm working super hard to get myself into a dramatic place weight-loss wise, which is more complicated because a lot of them never saw me at my heaviest and were pretty used to me at about 15 lbs heavier than now.) Holiday challenge, anyone? ;)
You've reminded me, Gina, that we need to pull together our plan for the NYC LW get together soon.
Happy Anniversary! Y'all remind me that putting energy into our love lives is important. That's something I often forget.

30 years! No better time for new wine!
Major stress at work with product offerings going out -- fingers crossed that our dbase makes it through a massive data import! Trying to get my head around some good food choices to have on hand so I don't go for the BAD!
Had my 3rd pre-op class last night all about importance of supplements post-op and the follow up appointments. This is the first class my husband is able to come to and he decides to throw the guilt trip on me after we got home that we can't afford out of pocket for the surgery, he should be having the surgery not me, etc. I've been planning this for 7 months now - and yes we can afford it (I pay the bills and know what is possible) - and if he wanted to have the surgery I wish he would man up and get a plan together instead of taking this route. Gonna be a fun weekend (he is off) and I'm sure it's not the end of this "discussion". Is it fear???? or the realization that this REALLY is going to happen??? maybe both...
Life is WAY too stressful lately and I would really like to take a week of vacation and may just plan that in late November. (thanks to this post...made me give it some thought)
Sunday will be fun - - we are going to Boo at the Zoo and trick or treating. "Dorothy" looked cute as a bug going to pre-school today and is excited to watch the Wizard of Oz again tonight.

October has been a super-busy month. Tonight I am going to see "Dreamgirls" live at the Tennessee Performing Arts theater with some girlfriends. Saturday is housework day (ugh!) and I will be working out in mid-afternoon.
Next Wednesday is our oldest granddaughter's birthday and I have to call my d-i-l to find out what the plan is. She (the d-i-l) is such a treasure and we are blessed with 3 GREAT in-law children.
Looks live November is going to be just about as busy as October!

P.S. Congrats on your 30th anniversary!!! We made it to 40 this year and I will take 40 more if I can have them!

Congratulations on your thirtieth anniversary Gina. I started late so I will have my 4th anniversary on the 12th. And I will miss it because I am going to Georgia to train for a new job. I retired from teaching in June. The new job will be training teachers to use new technology. Kinda of nervous, but if I can do WLS I can anything!

Congrats on the upcoming anniversary, I celebrated 35 years this summer with the love of my life.
Looking forward to Thanksgiving with my family. I am the youngest of 11 - there are 8 still living and most of them have large extended families, it is always great to see them. However, we had a family reunion this summer and they saw me for the first time since WLS, (were they surprised)!so won't be a surprise this time.
Hiring and drama at work, I supervise 25 employees and feel like "MOM" to most of them.
DD coming tomorrow for the day.....looking forward to her visit.
