So before Roz gets here, I'll chime in and tell you to up the protein. That's what she always tells me.
My advice is to look at your exercise. If you have a routine, change it up. If you don't have a routine, start one. I really need to exercise about 90 minutes a day to lose even a pound a week but I'm a very slow loser.
The plateaus happen naturally and then they shift. I lose two weeks of the month, even small amounts, then stay the same. We are all very different, but I can guarantee that you're not done.
I had those very same thoughts this morning. Am I done? I'm sure I'm not, and neither are you! :)

Girlfriend, it is not over. Trust me. The old bod is just adjusting to the transition it is going through. Stalls happen for a reason and we have to get used to it--because frankly, it will happen again.
I've tried tweaking my diet, workout routine, water intake---I found nothing concrete to work other than being patient and letting the weight drop off on its own.
Its frustrating but it will pass. I promise.

You have gotten some great advice already.
I just wanted to add that you should take your measurements or pay attention to how your clothes are fitting. I know we all want the scale to move, but when it doesnt it helps to see other positive changes happening in your body!
Congrats on your success so far!

If you are doing what you are suppose to be doing, I think just keep on doing it. The weight will start dropping again. But you could try some of the suggestions and see, can't hurt if you have the mind set to do it. I think I would die, LOL, if I cut my carbs to 30 a day....but I may need to look at that during my next stall!!! Five weeks is a long time to be patient, but hang tight and let us know when you bust it!!!
I have to agree with the suggestions above -- upping the calories, upping the protein and changing up your exercise routine. Those three things combined always seemed to jump start the loss again when the scale wouldn't move for over a week.
Whenever I would up the calories/protein, I'd shoot for an extra 100 calories a day and 10 - 15g of additional protein with that.

Hi there, say I think you been getting great advice here. Try for 100g protein try to up the complex carbs and keep active. I been losing the same two pounds for weeks but don't dwell on that just do the right things as you know you can and relax and enjoy life it's the only one we get so don't waste it. Maybe don't look at the scale for a few days or weeks and it might surprise you! Take care ....Jeff
