Fitness Challenge - October 27

Today is another day off (which I hate). Hip pain was so severe this morning that I emailed the exercise specialist at the surgeon's office who made an appointment with me for next Monday. She wants to pin point where the pain is and what bothers it before she tells me what to do.

I'm so glad you are seeking help with it.  My hips were what made me stop running and I blame it on the Drs not taking me seriously.  They never treated me aggresively, just told me to stop running.  I really think, especially now (mine was 30 yrs ago) there are ways to deal with most problems.

My husband just stopped to pick me up some Biofreeze on his way home, so that will help with the pain in the meantime. I hope it's something simple like stepping wrong or something I can correct.

Nuts!  My mom is in town, which is great.  She's staying with me tonight, and my only time to see her is tonight.  So I won't be able to go to ballet tonight - I'll have to switch to Friday night!  :(  

I'll live.  But this means that I'll need to do a class on Saturday, too.  It just means shifting things around, but I'm hating all this changing of plans I'm having to do!

And thus the consequence of booking oneself too tightly.  My schedule is INSANE these days.  And my body matters - don't want to fall into old habits...

Keep me accountable, ladies!  Please?

Hi there! Left the house at 4:50 a.m. this morning for a 5 mile run. It was cold -- had to wear my gloves! But, it didn't rain on us. I call 5:00 a.m. the witching hour. It seems to be the time of day when the rain stays away here in Oregon.

Good luck on the search for compression clothing. I did find some stuff on ebay that ships from out of country, but the price is really reasonable. i might give it a shot. The pics look good and the buyer has a really high rating. Search for "running compression".

I try yoga and pilates on DVDs, but I would love to be limber. I am so stiff I can't even touch my toes....never could. I would love to be limber and stretchable and sit in on a hot yoga class!

You ladies make me tired too but I did make it for my Curves workout today.  I really want to get in water areobics soon but also want to have time to ride and drive, and I work so I'm not sure where I am going to make time, especially since the days are getting shorter.

Great job on Curves...I know our YMCA in town has a pool and there are a few community pools but I am 20 miles from the center of town and another 5 miles either way to hit the surrounding areas...I don't typically drive in unless it shopping therapy :) 

Good luck on finding the water aerobics...I hope one is not too too far from ya.
