My labs and 9 month post op report (long post)
Ok, So this morning I went in for the 9 month follow up (one month late...tee hee) and wow what a difference 9 months makes.
The nurse gave me such a warm surprised reception. She called my name, I stood up, she looked at me and called my name again. I said "I'm here" and she said "I thought you were someone else!!" She said I don't look the same at all and she was so complimentary and sweet!! She had me tour the office real quick and showed everyone...my before pic on file and me now. I am wearing my saggy baggy 8's...I told her that if she does that every time I come in, I'm going to dress up and look really cute!! Love them....
Anyways, my labs came in and I am right on track according to the docs and I'll post those below. But first for a summary. I have lost 90 lbs total from the official before weigh-in with the surgeon to today. I really want to hit the 100#'s mark (I weighed in at 133).
I may have a herniated tear in the lower abdominal area. Damned it all. I was asking him if it was normal to have my belly bulge as I felt the food go through the intestines. I can get a bulge on the right, pu**** down and feel it on the left OR I can feel what I think is the intestinal track full from the pubic bone to my belly button. Lovely right? I thought it was because I have been so fat that I didn't know what 'normal' was....well, I go back to see the doc in 2 weeks so he can evaluate it. I would lay money down right now that I have herniated again and need another repair. Just call me frankenbarbie from here on...lol I figure this first year will be the weight loss and repairs and next year I can enjoy it all.
Oh, and one more thing before I post labs....they, the surgeons are recruiting me to be part of the fashion show next May. I'm gonna be a model!!!! LOL who would have thought?? Cool beans, right? Yay sexy me....
Ok, now the labs...(i apologize for the format ahead of time...I suck at this...)

Hi Diana! Congrats on your successful visit! They did that with me too - paraded me around the office. I kidded with the nurse they do that with everyone, she looked at me out of the corner of her eye and said "oh no we don't - we don't see THIS number very often at all".. I weighed in at 126...
Now on to labs.
Your B12 looks a little low for us. Dr's think its ok - but it should be up and over the 1200 mark. Your ALT/AST is awesome! Wish mine looked that good!
Gina will chime in! She'll be excited to see so many lab posts today!!
