Well, I don't know about all you peeps out there but this month has flown by with a 'swish'...I can't believe it is time to make holiday plans for food, family and fun. Ok, since today is my Monday...and yet it is a Wednesday too....(no work on Friday) whoo hooo....this week should be great. A bit stress filled with catching up from being out of the office for 2 weeks doing reviews and preparing for another in-field visit all next week. This winter will fly by as I finish my reports and such. Whew...getting tired just thinking about the to-do-list growing with deadlines.

Anywhoo...I digressed I apologize. So, today I am ***** slapping myself out of the funk I have been in since July. I have hid a lot from ya'll in attempts to deal with it on my own. I know I'm not alone and believe me, you all have helped out...you just didn't know it. I am going to pull myself out of my pity party and putting on my warrior outfit and kick some depression ass.

My plan today is to leave work by 5pm. Be home by 6pm. In gym clothes by 6:15 and in the gym by 6:30pm. I will effectively kick my own ass on the elliptical machine for a strong 45 minutes with some funky high speed must move it cardio music. Then I will go home and drink a protein shake. By 7:30, I'll have a nibble of some grub and get ready for the next work day.

Plan: Attack some depressed ass and break this stall (last 8 pounds)
Method: Elliptical 45 min

What is your plan today?

I hope ya'll have a fantabulous day...

I will be going to zumba tonight.  Depends on what's going on, I'll hit the gym either before or after for a good treadmill workout.

I said in your other post that I've been lazy and not exercising - BUT, I usually think of group type of planned exercise activities, not other life events that can also count as exercise... such as....

I went out dancing Friday AND Saturday nights.  I could definitely feel it in my legs!  I know I burned a few calories and worked some muscle groupsI hadn't used before (different shoes also helps there).

Going dancing tomorrow night too (I hope).

Funny you say that about the shoes, there was a class at the YMCA that was stilletto (sp?) dancing. Yah, no thank you for this uncoordinated girly....I bravely put myself out there for zumba and in the back of the class thank you...lol

They cancelled the stilletto class because very few participated and switched it to swing dancing or something. that was cancelled too...lol I guess in my parts we don't dance very well....

Sorry about your slump, and I hope you are able to snap out of it soon!

My new plan is to take 3 days off a week, and work out hard-core 4. I hate taking days off, but my hip is telling me I need to. I also need to go get another body fat test done because my exercise specialist didn't want me to go any lower than I was because of the ill-effects it has on your body. But I have definitely seen some changes in the past couple of weeks, I am all muscle, with a little droopy skin. Also noticing a difference in TOM, becoming irregular, barely there, etc. Plus, I don't want to lose any more weight (well, the 1/2 pound that will take me to 100 even, then learn how to maintain.

MWF are going to be my days off

Today I did 65 minutes on the treadmill, high incline and speed for half the time, fast walked the other half. It said I burned 900 calories, but I have done quite a bit of research that says you burn about a third to a half of what the machine tells you.
Anyway, I also did 50 push-ups and 200 crunches and a few core exercises.

Sorry so long, time to go exercise my brain on some math homework.

Lazy day??? Sign me up!!! Oh wait...never mind...lol

I love it when I drag myself and do a great workout and say Ha...could stayed home but didn't. Great job in keeping yourself motivated. I think I shall do a good 45 min on the elliptical today. I know I don't feel like it either. I can think of 5 things to do after work...and working out is not one I WANT to do...I'll post my progress after...

Keep up the great job Cindy....

Sometimes all we need is a little "*****slappin" and "ass-kickin"! I love it! Even through your struggles you are here encouraging others -- remember that! I'm grateful for your posts!

Today, I ran 4 miles of intervals at the track. I'm trying to ignore the fact that my hip and leg are bugging me a bit, because it felt so darned good.

I have found that I can wake up feeling kind of down and after exercising I am in a great mood. I am so lucky to have a workout friend to keep me accountable or many days I would just stay in bed.

Awe...thank you!! You are sweet!! I saw your first line there and thought of the song "All we need is love" but replaced with the lyrics "All we need is a slap....lalalalala....and an ass kickin....lalalalala"  I'll hum that song all the way home today (1 hr long drive...groovy)

Great job onthe run!! Take it easy on the hip and leg. If you are over training they will win. Have you checked your shoes? I went into sporting place and had them evaluate my gate and they told me which support I need. Go check it out...it's cool stuff.

Great workout. Oh btw...any ideas for me to pick back up running and maybe wearing support garments?? To help keep inards in place while jogging. I am sooooo paranoid to start back up (even though other say it ok) to undo all the good that was done....help a running sista out!!! LOL

I recently just splurged and bought a pair of adidas running capris (tight ones) and I love them. They were on sale at Fred Meyer (not sure if you have one of those) for $36. I never spend that kind of money on workout gear, but it was worth it. They hold everything in tight. You should just start back slowly....do the couch to 5k or something. You will build up fast!

I did have a running store watch my gate and they recommended a support shoe. I currently wear the Saucony Progrid Omni. At the running store, they were $110. I found them online for $58. Now I can only find them for around $80. I'm watching an Ebay auction for a pair though.....hoping to slip in at the last minute of the auction for the steal!
