Temperamental Pouch - Whining

There are days when I have "The Pouch of Steel."  I can feed it any kind of protein and it goes down smoothly.

Then BAM! It gets all sensitive on the simple stuff and the next thing you know I'm getting sick and back on soft foods.  It is as though my pouch doesn't want me to take it for granted.  I never thought I'd want to eat another Fat-Free Re-fried bean again.  But...if it makes the cranky pouch happy, I'll eat it!   I feel like I need marriage counseling with my pouch...lol.

Whine over!  Thanks for letting me vent.

Been there, lived through that, came to an accommodation with Maleficent, the evil pouch! These days we get along well, and you will find a balance with your pouch too.

I have now joined the crowd of sensitive pouches.
I was fine through stage 1 and 2.
Was given the go ahead on stage 3... and I so wanted a scrambled egg... and after two bites... knew it was a mistake.   Stomach gergled all the rest of the day.. felt like I was going to barf, but did not dump. Next day... had stomach pains all day ,,, it was gas. Every time I though I was over it, it flared again... ran to the bathroom, and again same story.
So...no eggs for me.
I have eaten lunch meat with no problem... and I ate 1./2 of a saltine...
So I last night had my favorite... tao bell beans.l..!

Yup.  Totally remember that!

Most of the time I can look back on those days as if they were so long ago.  You'll be there soon, too!

Too funny, Kay.
Marriage counseling with our pouches!
I went from clear liquids to having a couple of ounces of BBQ (ribs, pulled pork and brisket) this weekend in Bulverde (at the rodeo).  My pouch let me skip full liquids and pureed foods!

I chewed the heck out of the meat and drank a ton of water with it, but it stayed down and I didn't have any side effects!  That shocked the heck out of me, but hell if I was going to a BBQ cookoff and not eating anything.  I initially was only going to TASTE the Q and daintly spit it out into a napkin, but I thought I'd give it a try.
Plus, the men there were giving me a hard time about being a spitter and not a swallower.  MEN.
