PICS included...Suggestions for dressing warm while still showing our shrinking figures...
Ava posted a topic earlier today about fighting the fall gain and staying warm while not totally covering up our new and improved figures. I promised I would try to post pics of one of my favorite wardrobe pieces post wls. I have fallen in love with shawls and wraps. They keep you warm and yet still show off your figure. Now keep in my mind if you've read any of my posts lately that I let stress get the better of me in the spring and the pounds came creeping back right smack dab in my stomach and my thighs. Ughhhhh!!! It happens, but it doesn't have to. Just be mindful of your eating and your drinking. My head is back in the game and I'm where I need to be. If you're new you will soon find that this board is a life line of support and no matter how far out you are it will always be one your first defenses in attaining and maintaining your goals.
Now on to the good, the bad and the ugly...since some of you don't know me I'll show you the before, the 1 yr out, and the present work in progress with one of my favorite shawl/wraps. My high/pre surgery weight was 240 before I started my 7 day liquid diet. My lowest weight I got to was 141 but I kind of settled in around 145-148 for a while and was very comfortable there. Now I am FIGHTING my way back down and currently weigh 161.6 today and have been as high as the top of the 160's before I decided to take control back. So here goes...
I can't wait to get back in the 140's!!!!

Excellent! Looking good and warm, Julie. Let us know what we can do to help in this phase. I think Vitalady said she had 3 little regains in the 15 years she's had her WLS. She's been able to take of the regain each time with effort and protein shakes. Hang tough!

Julie - you are so darned cute! I've always thought that!
The shawl is a great idea! I may need to think of doing that. I get cold at work, but it seems to be Hot, Cold, Hot, Cold... and wearing a sweater makes it difficult to adapt to the different temps - plus my coworker likes to sit with his window open - of course only when its cold out!
