We have a Disney trip booked for 8 weeks post-op. Staying in a condo so I will be able to stock the foods I can have and I will take snacks in with me to the parks.

Just worried a little about lack of energy and if I will be able to ride the rides? I will ask my surgeon about the rides but just wanted some other opinions/advice on things to do to make the trip enjoyable :)

Definitely plan to head back to the condo for afternoon naps everyday! I am so excited...this may be the last year my 6yo is interested in dressing up as a princess!!

I think you'll do great!  It sounds like you have all your bases covered!  Aw, I wish my 18 yo was a 6 yo in a princess gown again!

Sounds good to me!  By 2 mos out your energy could really be at a great place then.  Mine was, anyway.  (BTW, what surgery are you having?)

Just be sure to have a hydration plan along with your protein/food/supplement plan.

As for the princess part - I STILL enjoy dressing up as one!  Maybe there's something wrong with me...

I think you will be fine.  I went back to work 6 weeks post op, I work 12 hour shifts and only sit approx 30 minutes out of that 12+ hours a day otherwise am running crazy the whole time and the work is very physical.   That is harder than Disney for sure!!
Have a wonderful time, sounds like you have planned well for the eating and you can take breaks and rest.  Just remember your vitamins and water etc.

Absolutely!  I do not see why not.

Just listen to your body and stay HYDRATE!  I can't stress that enough.  Don't forget your vitamins and protein!

I think you'll do great too.  As everyone says, watch for hydration and rest when needed.

I went to Disneyland at 2 months post-op and had a great time. It's actually easy enough to find protein in the park. I had eggs for breakfast and meat for lunch and dinner.

Also, Disney rides are designed so even people 300 lb. can fit in them. You'll be fine!

Hi there I actually went to disney @ exactly 8 weeks out. We stayed at a condo as well. Walmart is not far so when we got in I picked up popsicles, brought my protein powder with me which only needs water, and had soft foods there. When we went to the park I had a camel pack so I was abundantly hydrated and yes you can get on the rides;  I rode them all!!!.

We went with my in-laws and no one knows I had the surgery but my bestfriend and DH, so when we went out for dinner it was a little tricky. All I did was made sure my hubby ordered something soft on his plate and said I was too tired to really eat anything, which was true.

My energy was fine throughout the park as we sat down a couple of times to have snacks or what have you. If you have any questions just PM me If you need any other tips or details.

You are going to enjoy yourself the extra weight off gives you extra energy alone.

Have fun and take plenty of pictures you are going to want them to compare!!!
