I hate your signature quote. I'll bet I'm not the only female here who would be more interested in your posts if we did not have to read that comment at the end.

I got that its a joke but I appreciate Ur removing it too Walter !!

I was a barely 35 BMI ( i actually had to GAIN to get there lol ) and i had diabetes so i had extra incentive . But even without diabetes i have to say i was MISERABLE for many many years because i simply couldnt LOSE ( oh i busted my butt exercising and restricted my food but to no avail )

And yes I looked OK in clothes but I felt way less than my best self , i coudln't BREATHE i felt unhealthy and unattractive and bottom line is the surgeries are just a limited ( very limited ) tool and if Ure lucky enough to have insurance coverage i would say run dont walk to the doctor.

Im so glad i took the leap !!

I got my life and health back.... thats how I would describe the miraculous results ...

What kind of repsonse(s) did you get from your regular doctor(s)?  Did they encourage and support your WLS?

I'm THE same boat as mini,,, part of my problem was getting a doctor to do the DS. i cant have the rny or band, due to previous stomach issues.

 I had a BMI of 33 (almost)
I'm 5'2" and I weighed 178 pounds! I also had high blood pressure and on meds for it.

I have spent my whole life losing and regaining, working very hard at it but NEVER able to keep it off.

Had the VSG at 52 years old,self-pay, lost 60 pounds in 6 months, and I am having NO TROUBLE keeping it off!

I'm 5'2" and weigh 118 pounds!!!!! The BEST DECISION I ever made, just wish I had done it sooner!

I have never looked back, I'm SO HAPPY!!!!   ( and no more high blood pressure!)

Good Luck to you!
