Anyone up for a daily Bookend post?
I used to have clutter and how I tamed that was to bookend my tasks. I'd call someone and say, "my task is X and I'm not stopping until it's done". With bookending, we call at the start of the task, then call when it's completed. There's something about being accountable that really works pretty well. A prop placed at the end of a row of something to keep it upright.
And since I enjoy words and their meanings, I found a couple of simple definitions for the word bookend that make complete sense when put into this context:
Any device that bears the weight of another thing.
So just as we have Menus and Miles and Fitness Challenge that help us stay accountable, should we also try out a Bookend Post for a while and see how it goes? Who wants to start?
