Upping Calories
I have been thinking about this lately so I thought what a great question. I added more choices to my food options and BAM! I started dtopping again. One thing that is heavily preached by the wls community is no breads/fruit etc. Well, my surgeon has a different take on this and it works for me. You need a healthy diet from all food groups....and I learned Cake and ice cream were not a part of them! LOL. I added healthy grain protein bread and fruit and WHAM! Off came the weight. I have toast with peanut butter every morning and I eat the almighty forbidden banana, at least 4 times a week. The more food I added the faster it comes off...i don't think it's the amount as much as the variety. I wasn't 100 lbs overweight from eating bananas and wheat toast. I stay away from fast food. That was my downfall. So the key (for me) was variety, I think it kicks your body into high gear and our bodies need nutrients from all types of foods.
