Sleeve vs. Lap Band for Lighthweights

I wanted the Lap Band because it was cheapest plain and simple.

As I was researching  I read about having to get fills and unfills.  I live in Belize and to do that would have been very difficult, I would have had to go to Mexico each time.

So even though the Sleeve was more expensive, it was a 'set it and forget it' procedure.  Once it was done, as long as I did not have any complications, I would never need to see my surgeon again.

I have since heard of all of the complications with the lap band, slipping, eroding, over filling, etc. and I am so relieved I did not get the band.

With the Sleeve, I can still eat any food I want, just in much smaller quantities.  I have never had trouble losing weight, I have always had trouble getting to goal and maintaining...

I got to goal, I am now intentionally below goal and I am maintaining.  I love my tiny tummy!  It was worth every single penny I paid for it.

Good luck with your choice,

No complications with having the sleeve? The thought of part of my stomach being removed permanently is what scares me. However I want the least side effects after surgery.

I had no complications whatsoever...

I feel comletely normal, I just eat smaller amounts.

Don't drink before during or after my meals for a certain time.

Be sure to take all my viatamins and water.

Eat lots of protein and few carbs, especially white carbs...

I walk four miles a day for exercise.

I feel and look fantastic!
