Hello, 160s!

Hi LWs!

I've been away (without access to my scale) and haven't weighed myself in over a week.

So, of course, because of my ways, I've been beating myself up, convinced that I gained weight while traveling (even though I exercised more than usual) and that I was fatter (even though my clothes were looser.  Go figure!)

But today I weighed myself, and I'm down to 168!  I can't remember being in the 160s ever.  I can remember being in the 150s and the 130s, and definitely in the 180s and above, but not in the 160s.  Being 168 represents reaching my surgeon and NUTs initial goal, from back when I was 5'2.  Now that I'm 5'4 :) that goal of reaching an overweight BMI has already passed.

So I'm super delighted.  Thank you for all of your support along the way!  I can't tell you how important you are to me.

Jody, I can't even imagine it! I was a pretty smokin' 150 in college. To be back to that weight would be like heaven. And then to get smaller? Wow!!!

It just seems so far away. But then to think that I was 231 just a mere 4 months ago reminds me that time flies, and while I know that these last 40 lbs or so will come off slower than the first 60, THEY WILL COME OFF.

They will, right?

Absoutely they will!  My initial goal (in my head) was 150 because when I was 35 I was hot at 150... well, here I am today at 125 - who'd have thought???

Wow! Your posts are always fun. How did you gain inches in height? I always laughed at Garfield saying he wasn't overweight, just undertall.

Congratulations on the milestones being passed so quickly!

Haha!  Yes.  I was undertall.

Apparently, it's not that uncommon for people to gain a bit of height after the surgery.  Could be less pressure on the spine.  Could be that we're more willing or able to stand up straight.

Not sure why I grew, but I'm happy that I did.  It's funny, now that I think of myself as 5'4, I no longer think of myself as a short woman.  It's a fun mental shift.

(Not that 5'4 is all that tall, but work with me...)

Tell me about it!

I got some clothes from friends, and one of them brought me a wool pea coat from J Crew.  It's a small.  (Did you catch that?  A small???)

And it fits!

How on earth do I fit ANYTHING from J Crew in a small?

Every time I put it on, I'm convinced that it won't fit.  But then it does.

Crazy!
