half marathon
Ran my first half-marathon this morning! I was only focused on finishing without walking, but I think I did okay timewise....maybe around 12 minute miles. I don't see the results posted yet. Anyway, it was the hardest freakin' thing ever to fini****he last three miles almost killed me. My body rebelled. Now, I am ready for bed (it is only 6pm here), but I feel so great about finishing after being one obese cookie just 7 months ago! :)
Final time: 2:30:03 -- under 12 minute miles! Yay!

Congratulations! I can only dream of doing something like that!
You should be so proud of yourself!!!
Take it easy - a hot bath and go to bed! You definitely deserve it!

how awesome!
i just started the "couch to 5k" last week. the first day i thought i was gonna die! but it's getting better.....feel so much better when i'm finished! so.....today i'll start week two of "couch to 5k"!
10/23 i'll be walk/running in my first 5k. will probably walk more than run but that's okay. it's a start! can't imagine being able to run a half marathon! how awesome that would be!!
congratulations on such an accomplishment!!
