Hunger
I have read that it takes time to heal ...and to feel full. i have progressed to soft food and never feel full. I stop becasue I have been measuring out what is suppose to be a serving. I had the band before and knew when to stop...I don't get a trigger to stop. I know that I am only 2 weeks post op but though that I would have some kind of trigger. Is this normal? I am down about 10 pounds but wonder how long I will have this feeling.
Keep measuring. That's a good thing. It takes time for those triggers/signals to come alive. I know I've had too much if my nose starts running and I start sneezing--those are my signals. I can't remember exactly when the signals came alive but what you're going through is normal this early. You might even be having a little head hunger about now. If you need to take a tiny taste to appease the head hunger, just a tiny taste or bite and usually that's enough.

My early "full" signal with my sleeve was hiccups or runny nose. Now I start sneezing like someone stuck a ragweed plant in front of me.
I bet you'll start feeling full really soon as your swelling goes down. Measuring is a good habit to cultivate!

I'm a little over 5 weeks out and I still don't feel full. I measure when possible (haven't taken my 1/4 cup measure out to eat yet). I usually hiccup or burp when I start eating. I stop for a little while then start again. If I get any of those signs later, I stop. I've nevr gotten foamies or vomited. Sometimes I can get in my 1/4-1/2 cup, sometimes not. I wasn't hungry when I started, not hungry or full when I end.
