Labs are in - the ones in red are ones that aren't within range - but I'm pleasantly surprised the ALT/AST is as low as it is, compared to April.  I can contribute the Milk Thistle to that. The ferritin/iron - is my fault.  I'm not nearly as diligent about the iron as I am with the rest of the vits.  I have some still pending too...

Oh, goody, goody, goody!

Ok, Proferrin ES X 2 or 3 a day, all at one time, split into pieces. If you could get your PCP to prescribe Proferrin Forte...even better. It includes Folic Acid but is the same as Proferrin ES for heme iron. Heme iron shouldn't contribute to any constipation.

Glad to see the AST & ALT have gone down.

Increase calcium by another dose and I'm betting your vitamin D is pretty good 'cause your PTH is pretty good. It can be better but let's see the level when it comes back.

Heck - I've got the Proferrin ES all cut in half, in the bottle just waiting to be taken.  If I remember to do it 2 times a week, that's good - AND - I even moved it into my bathroom, in plain site, so I remember too....  when I DO take it its 4 pieces (2 tablets) at a time.

I will really try to do better with it - I know it can also be contributing to my tiredness/sluggishness at times.

I've been taking a Folic Acid supplement daily too.  Added that in a month or so ago.

I'll have to keep on the labs - last time i don't think they sent me the results that were "pending"... and this time they didn't send me any lab results, even though its written on the order to.  I had to call the Dr's office and get them.

Thanks for your input.  I've been doing very well lately with my calcium.  I went back to chewables/lozenges because I wasn't taking the pills - I was just dreading them....

Ok, try taking the split up Proferrin with your morning or evening batch of vitamins. Just put them in your pill organizer or whatever system you use to make sure you take your multi. Taking Proferrin is like eating liver and is supposed to play nice with other vitamins. Look it up on their web site to make sure, but I'm thinking a multi or D won't interfere with it.

I think more about the calcium factor.  I seem to drink a glass of
milk before I go to bed sometimes, then think its a waste
to take the iron....

Shopping for protein today too.. out of chocolate.

The milk shouldn't stop the Proferrin either. Heme iron is just different.

Went to Vitamin World today, I like their Whey Isolate Chocolate protein.

They had samples of some vits out and had a 5000mg B12.  It tasted
pretty good.  About the size of my prevacid and dissolved very well and
quick in my mouth.

May think about getting that one when its time to replenish my B12.

I can't read the entire post but does it say you are only taking the proferrin 2 times per week?  If so, that is why your ferritin is so low.  You need to take it daily.

I have to compare what the dr. ordered to my Vita lady list.

Thanks for the reminder!!!
