Feeling down... lots of "you're too skinny" comments
I've gotten a few "you're getting too thin" comments in the past few months but it seems as though I'm getting them everyday now. I've gone from 195 surgery day on 12/19 to 106 as of today... that's 10 months.
I want to cry. I look in the mirror and see the old me, then have people telling me I'm wasting away to nothing. I actually asked, "what, do I look anorexic?"... Yup, that's what they're saying.
I'm sticking to the diet, because I don't want to get off track and end up right back where I started from in a year from now. I admit there are days that I have a little pasta with my spaghetti sauce, or a few chips with salsa, but I try not to make it a daily habit.
When will I stop losing?

Your body won't let you lose too much. These people really think they have your best interests at heart, but as long as you're healthy, your labs are good, and you're getting yoru vitamins and protein, you're fine. You do also need to think about some "bounce back" weight. That can be 5-10lbs...
Also - its really not uncommon for people at the point you are to look somewhat gaunt. BUT - trust me, the weight redistributes and shifts. Sometimes to places you don't want it to.. but it will and you will look healthier, even though you may not have gained any weight.
Just tell people you're done losing - whether you are or not. They just keeping doing what you are doing. If you want to stop losing after you met your goal, start adding in some good carbs.

Sweetie, you're a perfect 21.9BMI and still within 2 years post-op. This year you'll likely stop losing and start redistributing, maybe even have a tiny bounce back. Don't do anything different unless you're still losing like 5 pounds a month. If you are, ask your surgeon or PCP about digestive enzymes but don't start adding extra carbs. Add extra protein but not extra carbs. ((hugs))

Thank you both... I'm fighting the "Halloween candy in the office" right now... The emotional want to eat bad food never goes away, I know, and I just have to keep telling myself that I did this to make myself happy, not everyone else.
I'll post some pics soon. I need to have hubby take some as I haven't done it in a few months.

I get those comments constantly. I don't see it in the mirror though. I guess I did realize it's about time to stop when my husband started putting our 10 year old daughter's clothes in my pile and vise-versa. The other day I wore her jeans half the day before I realized it. My stats are very similar to yours, but I still want to lose 4 pounds. I have added fruits and veggies and whole grains back in my diet, and I work out hard. I have been bouncing from 103-105 since October 1st. I'm ok with that.
Thanks Shannon. I have been adding cheerios to my yogurt, which hopefully isn't too bad, but it does keep me full longer. Also eating apples and veggies, so I guess I'm eating the right stuff.
I'm skipping through sizes every 2 weeks or so now, actually planning on going to the discount store to get a pair of jeans tonight that I don't have to keep tugging up on. No daughter to share clothes with although that would probably be a plus!
Thanks again for your reply.

I don't eat Cheerios, but I do mix some Kashi in with mine sometimes. I started eating 2cups of veggies a day, and 1 piece of fruit. The first week I did that, I dropped a pound a day lol. My nut wants me to be at 1200 calories a day because of my hard work-outs, but so far I am in the high 800s. I want to weigh 100, but so far my body won't let go of those last couple pounds.
We are just about the same size and love being "tiny"!!! I am going to be 2 years out this week and I still get the "when are you going to stop losing" and "you are getting to thin" comments, but I haven't lost anything for almost 8 months. I found that it is usually people who are heavier or haven't seen me for awhile that make the most comments.
My DD told me there was a time frame that I didn't look healthy. She said my eyes had lost their sparkle, my hair looked dull, and my skin color didn't look good, but she says I look great now.
Everyone told me that because LW's get to goal so fast that their bodies need to adjust and they were right. Just be patient...try not to let others get you down....get in your protein and vitamins...and make sure your blood work is good and EVERYTHING Will Be Alright!!!

Thank you Roz and you're right, it is others who are heavier than me, and I guess some who are threatened by me. There is one person in particular who almost goes out of her way to do things to make me uncomfy (not sure that is the best word). Since I had breast implants done in 2000 I haven't really lost too much size up top. After making a comment about my weight she looked at my shirt and told me to put my girls away, then took it upon herself to button up my top. She's about 5'9", a size 2 and a DDD cup size... and ALWAYS let's her "girls" hang out.
That just makes me want to flaunt it even more... the nerve!
I'm keeping up with my protein, vits, and everything else... and I know everything will be fine. I just wish people would keep their mouths shut!
