New Here! My VSG is this Thursday!
WELCOME to our LW Board!!! I am so glad you found us!!!!!
Everyone loses at a different pace so it's hard to predict how much you will lose during the next month, but your chances of keeping off the 30 you have lost plus what you are going to lose are very good!! LW's don't lose big quantities every month but because we don't have as much to lose we do make goal sooner than someone who has 100's to lose.
Congrats on making changes to make your life healthier!!!!

Hi! Good luck with your up coming surg!!
I had RNY, lost 20 lbs pre-op and have lost an adv of 10 lbs a month post-op, so I am down 70 lbs at 5 months out. Try not to worry if you stall a little on the way, it happens to MOST of us, and is scarry, but stick to the rules, most of the time, and you will be successful!!! I have been a bit of a cheater, so it could be I could have lost a little more quickly, but I have been happy with my results, and have never felt deprived. You and your body will find a groove that works for you. Again, congrats and good luck. Let us know how you are doing.

Hey thurr Annie and welcome, I'm new too
.
I have a VSG as the first stage of DS. My thought is that you gave yourself a good kickstart by losing 30 lbs, some surgeons require a two week pre-op diet for that reason and to shrink the liver so it's not a bad thing.
Everyone is different, but for many with the sleeve they begin melting so I hope that you fall into that catagory. I've lost 74 lbs with mine without following any specific plan other than the protein. I had very minimal exercise due to MS but bought a wii and now get some in.
You will not be disappointed
. Best wishes.

Hi Ann...welcome to the best board on OH! :)
I started doing low/moderate carbs back in April. I think it will make things alot easier post-op.
Great job on your pre-op loss!! It feels good to get all the crap food out of our system doesn't it? I never thought I would have an aversion to french fries but they taste nasty to me now! I only wish an aversion to cheesecake would develop (no such luck)!!
Welcome and good luck on your journey!!!

Welcome to the LW board! I too was doing low carb before surgery. I have read that everyone loses differently after Sleeve surgery. I think I shed 19 the first month, then 3 the second month. I seem to have a good month, then a slow month. We really are all different.
I read to expect 10-20 the first month, then 5-10 in the following months.
I'm sure you'll do great! :)
