New Here! My VSG is this Thursday!
Just wanted to introduce myself to your board. My name is Ann and Im having VSG on Thurday. I havent had time to get nervous yet since I have a very active 2 year old. Today I spent the day cleaning in an attempt to make things a little easier on the hubby. lol
I do have a question for the lightweights.........
Since Ive lost 30 pounds in the last few months doing the low carb, restricted calories, lots of water and protein thing, will that make my initial weight loss slower than most? Im currently down to a 34 BMI. I read that most who have had the VSG lose on average 30 lbs in the first month......just wondering if thats even a possibility as Ive lost 30 pounds low carbing? I realize its not a race, but, I dont want to go in thinking that weight will come off in a month only to be disappointed. :)
Thanks for any input!

Hi, Annie, welcome aboard!
I think the average for LWs the first month is closer to 20 pounds the first month but since you've already dropped 30, you might not see as much, but you never know. Our bodies need a rest after dropping 30 pounds quickly, but if you took your time, you may still see a nice drop.
