Just got back from the World Equestrian Games.  I had a blast, US won the silver metal as a team and had an individual Bronze.  I worked 2 of the days and that was fun too, although they didn't provide enough****er so I didn't get my usual amount to drink.
I stuck with the plan and took yogart, cheese sticks, protein shakes, applesauce, etc.  We went out to dinner 3 times.  I had Italian chili the first night and had enough left over for 2 meals for the next 2 days.  The next night I got a scallop appetiser and and ate half and gave half away.  Last night  I got a baked potato and ate about 1/3, it was small.  I did eat a hot dog today, 1/2 at a time, every slowly.  Nothing has bothered my pouch and I have felt great.  We did tons of walking and I did go to bed each night at 8:30 to get up at 6 each morning.  I got in my protein drinks each day.  I just need to spend the next few days being sure I have gotten rehydrated since I wasn't drinking as much and was in the sun all days.
Thanks for listening, still on a high from the trip.

That sounds like fun. I am right there with you on the hydration thing just can not seem to stay that way lately. Got to do better. Sounds like you had a great time good for you. It is hard when you go on trips though. My daughter is on a dance team. I have had to learn the hard way sometimes to pack what I need. Alot of times we are in the middle of no where. Now I ask where the nearest walmart is so I know how much I need to cooler and how much I can get when I get there. My son was on a traveling ball team this summer. When others are running up the street for a biscuit I ran to the nearest grocery store for some greek yogart. It's funny that the smallest things make me happy now.
Nothing tastes as good as this feels!

Glad you had a great time Price.  It sounds like you did a good job on your food choices also.

Thanks everyone.  Of course, "my" wins were just sticking to my plan, the United States Driving Team, had the big wins.  But it was the only time in my lifetime the Games will be here so I was happy to be able to go and do well this close to surgery.  And now I know I can travel and do well.
I got to witness several things others have discussed on the board, like how much non-surgery people eat, food looking good, smelling good but having no desire for it.  Very interesting how the other half, that used to include me, eat.
