Just a quick poll...who's having a protein shake or protein coffee for breakfast this morning?

Protein coffee (30grams of protein)
 
Equipment: 20oz blender bottle with wire ball and a huge coffee mug

Ingredients:
4-6oz of your choice of fluid (1/2 & 1/2, skim milk, Hood Countdown low carb milk, soy milk, almond milk, Lactaid milk, water, etc.)
1 1/2 scoops of IDS vanilla-cinnamon protein powder (also good with 1/2 van-cinn and 1/2 chocolate protein powders)
8 - 12 oz of reduced caffeine brewed coffee (or decaf or regular high test coffee)

Directions:
In your blender bottle, pour 4-6oz of 1/2 & 1/2, add 1 1/2 scoops of protein powder, cover and shake about 5 or 6 times. Pour the cool protein slurry into a huge coffee mug and add hot brewed coffee on top. Stir and enjoy.

Nope.  Still can't get myself to drink protein shakes yet (had so many after surgery that the thought makes me ill) but maybe one day... (I work hard to get my protein from food instead).  

However, I will admit that what you describe in the recipe sounds pretty good!

I had a terrible time drinking Protein drinks at the beginning too.  They made me gag! I realize now that it was the milk, foam, and thickness of them.  Now I'm hooked on some of the Syntrax Nectares.  I mix them in water with lots of crushed ice.

I found that when I tried to get my Protein in with food that I my calories and food amounts increased. Try to put Protein into other things like pudding, jello, hot chocolate, milk, soup etc. I even baked high fiber muffins and mixed it in.  

Have fun at the black tie wedding.  We have an outside wedding today and fortunately it's not going to rain and it's going to be in the mid 70's.

Perfect weather for an outdoor wedding!  I think there are a lot of couples who are going to be very happy with this weekend's weather.

I'm drinking my Protein Cinnamon Hot Chocolate mixed with leaded coffee RIGHT NOW! I'm babysitting this weekend for friends of mine. They are part of Amway which has a brand of protein powder called Nutrilite. Yesterday I blended that with milk, made coffee ice cubes :), mixed 1TB of semi sweet choc chips and had myself my own protein homemade mocha chip frap! and it was GOOD!!! Not too foamy or anything! one packet of their protein powder has 24G of protein and no sugar. Later in the day I blended it with homemade peanut butter (basically just peanuts blended up with nothing added to it)1/2 banana and that was fantastic too. It's been a while since I did multiple protein drinks in one day. I stood on the scale this morning and was down 2 lbs...just like that! I may not be getting enough protein from my food (although my numbers are generally around 120)

A friend of theirs that cleans the house is coming by this afternoon to give me an hour or 2 break, I'll probably be getting my Starbucks fix...hahaha

Hope y'all have a fantastic day! I'll be thaking their babay jogging with me today too since they have a jogging stroller! SWEET!!!!!

You can get protein added at Starbucks too. Ask them for 2 scoops of protein for 30 grams. I think they might use flavorless...not sure.

trust me it has a flavor!!!! And it's nasty, I think they changed it recently. I used to have them add it, but ugh! and too many of them don't stir it properly and you end up with chunks in your mouth (maybe that's just because I like it hot and not usually cold drinks)
