Helpful tip from my NUT
In support group Wednesday, the NUT said something I was really grateful to hear. You may have already started thinking this way, but when I heard it, it was as if a light bulb went off in my little brain.
She said,
"Don't think of weight loss after surgery as a diagonal line. It's much much more like steps. Steps are normal!"
That's certainly true for me, and I bet it is for many of you, too. I think that when I get especially frustrated with my weight, it's because I'm expecting the straight line rather than the steps downstairs. But that's not happening!
The good news is that it shouldn't.
Hope this analogy helps you like it helped me!

I was looking at my weight loss report on sparkpeople yesterday and I thought the same thing! It does look like steps!
I expected a perfect diagonal but it is a slow downward trend, with times of nothing going on at all....I seem to stay the same weight for 3 weeks and then drop 3 or 4 lbs at once. Frustrating at 1st but now I know what to expect.
I am interested to see what my trend will be post op?!
