Apology to MacMadam
Recently in the post about Facebook I came on too strong in an exchange with MacMadam and I ended up offending her, which I deeply regret. MacMadam is a long standing core member of this forum and I feel terrible that I put her on the defensive in her own 'home'. I am very sorry to be responsible for making anyone her feel uncomfortable or annoyed. This is supposed to be a respite and a safe place and I took that away from MacMadam and for that I am really sorry. The core members have done a remarkable job in creating a place for civility and support - something that is rare and precious these times we are in - and I will do my best to make sure I do a better job honoring that going forward... if I am still welcome.

Yup - I haven't read the thread in question, but I do know how anything we type can come across very differently from how we would've meant to have said it. Typing text very poorly conveys tone, which makes us have to work all the much harder to convey a caring one, I suppose.
As far as this community goes, sticking to (and reminding ourselves of) the LW Creed helps tremendously.
It's a horrible feeling when this all goes wrong. Hope you're not beating yourself up about it, Kathy.

I give you a lot of credit for apologizing. Misunderstandings happen and sometimes things go too far. The important thing to remember is that we are all grown up here and people have opinions. The fact that you took the time to apologize speaks volumes!!! I wish more people would do the same! I'm sure MacMadam will understand and will accept your apology!
I did.
