What should I bring up at tonight's support group?
I'm excited to go to my surgery support group tonight.
HOWEVER, this one lady always starts us off, and then hogs the whole meeting with her one question. Usually it's a pretty good question. But I thought maybe I'd be more prepared this time. (Really, I wish I could just train the NUTS on how to run a support group, but that can't happen, alas...)
Anyway, what do you think are some good support group questions to ask?

Good question! Are the NUTS pretty open or do they want you to do exactly as they say and not think for yourself? You might be surprised how many fall into the second group.
Maybe a question such as "how do I keep myself from looking like death warmed over as I approach goal weight?"
Or, "why do normal weight people think all obese people just need to push away from the table and exercise more? Is there little wonder why obese people choose to keep their WLS secret?"

Rosa,
Lucky you! How often does your group meet?
anyway..... I would say it depends on where most members of your group are in their weight loss. If you want to get the most out of the meeting, ask the more experienced members what were the biggest keys to their success. & What things tripped them up. A lot of good things can spin off from that and it would be useful to everyone. ;)
have fun.
