First stall
I think I am having my first stall since my surgery 13 days ago. I tell myself every morning I am not going to weigh but I cave every time. Thinking about asking DH to hide the scales for a few days. My jeans are definitely looser today and I am being good on my diet. Had to cut back walking a little since coming back to work but going to ramp that up again this weekend.
I haven't updated my ticker in 4-5 days b/c I am not going to be obsessive about that. I don't think 11 pounds in 13 days is toooo bad.
Here's hoping.......

You're right - that isn't bad at all! It's almost 1 lb per day. I weigh myself daily during the week. But in my first few weeks after the surgery I only weighed weekly. I just was too emotionally connected to what the scale read. And it's not like I WOULDN'T be losing weight at that stage.
I recommend that approach, if you can give it a try. Once you can eat more, I think more regular weigh-ins are good, because you need to see how you're doing. At this stage, you can't really go wrong (unless you don't follow plan).
Good luck! You're doing great.

I think a stall is technically 3 weeks with no loss...that being said, I freaked out after losing a pound a day in the beginning and then not. We can't keep up the pound a day loss forever. Time of the month was a big one for me the whole time. 8 days around my time I didn't lose. Always during, sometimes before, sometimes after. You are doing great! Try not to let the scale rule your life...that being said, I have weighed myself more than once a day every single day since surgery.
Don't panic! You may not be losing "pounds" right now but you are definitely losing inches!
I stalled for almost a whole month but then my losing pounds got back in full swing!
Think about it....right now you are eating a HUGE deficit of calories! There is no WAY you can't be losing weight! Calm down, the scale will start moving again!!!

Kat,
I am an every day scale person because it helps with my accountability. In the beginning I let it bother me some, but then I decided it was a tool just like my pouch and I had to use it like that instead of letting it be the only factor that mattered in this journey.
I only count my weight once a month and that is when I change my ticker. Usually around my surgery date in the month. I have updated it more if it was a special victory like under 200, but it had to be something good.
I found it fascinating to watch how you bounce down, then up a little, then down and it finally settles on a lower number after several days(or weeks).
I hope you took your measurements if not - do it now!! When you are not losing on the scales you will see a change in your measurements.
If it still really bothers you, then you might want to do away with your scales and maybe go to your PCP's office every month to be weighed.
You are doing great and doing what you are suppose to be doing so it will come off. Good luck.
