Labs at 2 years out

I know there are some lab freaks on here so I figured you'd care about my labs:

http://fattyfightsback.blogspot.com/2010/10/labs-at-2-years-out.html

The big news is:

B12 is up!
Vitamin D is up!
Cholesterol numbers better than ever (Good Cholesterol up, Bad Cholesterol and Tryglycerides down)
Iron is okay. Slightly lower than a year ago. Bears watching.
Everything else remains the same

But:

Protein continues to suck big time... but no other signs of a problem and nothing that would be troubling if protein was truly low is troubling. It's mystifying. Maybe I need to see Dr. House.

Mac, if you go see House, I want to go too!  :)    I bet Gina and Randi will come comment on your results.  I wonder why your protein is still so low.  It will be interesting to hear what your doc has to say.

Very nice D, Marie! I really don't like your ferritin but I think they'll tell you iron is ok, but if it were me I'd ask about getting ether a prescription for Proferrin Forte or OTC Proferrin ES...no intestinal distress with this stuff.

Did they test your A or other B vites? How about calcium and PTH? I think with your D as high as it is, calcium and PTH should be ok but it wouldn't hurt to see them.

Protein    More whole eggs and Greek yogurt? I know you have trouble with whey shakes. Yeah, you gotta do something about the protein. Without enough protein, your body won't absorb other nutrients you need.

Happy Sugiversary!

My calcium and PTH are fine. That's why I didn't post them.

I should have had my other B vits tested but I don't see the results. It's possible they are still coming. They did use more vials than last time but there seem to be less results posted to my account.

The thing about my protein levels is that I have no signs of low protein. I've looked up what low protein can mean on Google and everything they mention has all these symptoms and signs that I just don't have. Dr. C seem to think maybe I was a freak of nature and maybe that level is what is normal for me. I am getting over 130 g of protein in a day and my hair isn't falling out any more so I don't really know what else to do.

Weird weird about your protein still being low.  But at least you do not have other signs of protein issues.

Yum to Dr. House!  I'll take a leg of the driving!

Ok I can't remember totally what her issue was but I believe it had to do with iron and protein levels Andrea U she posts on the main forum.  She was low even though she ate a **** load of protein I think.  Anyway she started taking proferrin (I believe that's the name) from vitalady and all is right with her levels now.  Maybe post this on the main forum if you want input!!

Kudos to your levels!!

I know at 2 year, my A, D and Iron were all low =(

I know Andrea has iron issues but I didn't think she had protein issues. I'll ask her.
