Good Morning. Is Food Network the only thing on daytime TV?

I think I can watch the Food Network all day....I think I can...I might have to. There's NOTHING worth watching on the tube! Maybe I can figure out how to get a couple of movies to run on this contraption...

Hmm...anybody got a 5 year old that can help me get a movie to play on this thing!  Send 'em over!

Ah, well. Food Network and Animal Planet it is.

Oh no!  Do you have DVR?  It's the only way I watch tv, and very easy to use.  That way I never have to watch daytime tv because I can watch the prime time stuff whenever I want.

I think all of the cable companies are offering it, if you want to look into that possibility...

But I get you!  Yesterday was my first weekday stuck in the house since surgery recovery (which seems miles away) and all I did was post on OH.  Today I want to get back to work, but tummy hasn't stopped it's revolt just yet.  I'm wondering if it isn't just an icky stomach virus.  I forgot you still get these sorts of things even after surgery...

Have a great day!

It's really bad! Paid programming overriding the Food Network programming. Think I'll go clean out my closet..[sigh]

I watch the Food network more now than I did as a pre-op.   Our cable company recently added a new exercise on demand channel.  Im looking forward to it since winter time is around the corner and there will be days when I cant make it to the gym.  Cindy

Hey - when you're done with that 5-year old, can you send him/her my way?  I have a DVD player I couldn't get to work last week.  Won't even power on...

I like to watch On Demand - it has TV shows that aired for the previous few weeks.  Its kinda like a DVR, but not all shows are available.  Its nice not to have to worry about missing a favorite.

When I'm home during the day I usually have HGTV on, then in the afternoon I like to watch Ellen and sometimes Oprah.  Dr Oz is good too.  If you get really bored you can put the Weather Channel on all day - lol... hey - I've done that before!  I don't do soap operas...  I also don'****ch the Food Network - I tend not to cook and the recipes, even though they say are easy, I find complicated to even watch being cooked.

I have made it a point to avoid att food network type channels. I have resorted to , PBS, Nickelodeon and Disney. Even when the kids away Mom still stays up on the newest cartoons LOL...

My two favorite dates are TiVo and Kindle.  Either of them can amuse me for hours.  I love my TiVo which has been overloaded since I got it in 2003.  I think there's old movies that I keep meaning to watch.  I also watch instant Netflix movies on my Mac Laptop.   All of the major networks run their current prime time shows 1 week after their air.  Check out NBC.com, ABC.com etc and see if there are shows you'd like to catch up on.

Good luck staying amused today Gina.  This just means you're healing beautifully if you're a little bored.  :)

Morning Gina,
Hope you are feeling good after your shopping day!!

I love the Food Network and watch it all the time.  I have a DVR and record and usually watch it when I have the time.

I can send you DH - he won't be any help.  He was watching TV Sunday night and hit one of the remotes with his elbow lost the signal and could not figure out how to get it back - had no idea what button he hit or which remote it was on.  He yelled for me to help him out.  I tried but could not figure out what he had done.  He finally unplugged everything and plugged it back in and it worked.  This is like the second or third time he has done this!!

I like Lifetime Movie Channel.  If I'm home alone I usually go rent DVD's and watch them all day(or I used to do this).
