What makes a Lightweight, and am I one?

My BMI is 40 ish, and everyone except my doc seems to think I look "just fine" and don't "need" WLS... does that mean I'm a lightweight?

Yep! Welcome aboard!  There's a Lightweight Creed around here somewhere that explains everything about lightweights. Well, almost everything. It doesn't explain why we swing lizards, but other than that. lol

Good to see you here.

Thanks everyone! As Gina knows already, I'm getting the DS. I just got a date. 12/27/10. I was a total PITA for Kaiser, and they just decided I wasn't worth the trouble. LOL So I don't have to take classes or anything and I got the surgery I wanted.
I didn't understand all the animal abuse happening here on OH, but now I'm swinging critters with the best of ya! :)
I have 7 children ages 5-21. They are the reason I'm having the surgery. They are also the reason I'm terrified of the surgery. Se La Vie.
I have at alternate points in my life been a cna, a midwife, a tutor, a phone psychic, a substitute teacher, and an aspiring writer.
I'm Wiccan/Pagan and have been for 20 years.
I have a mild form of autism called Aspergers Syndrome. It's more common than you might think in brainy types. Anyway, that's basically me in a nut shell. Nice to meet you.

I hate Kaiser's approach to weight loss so I'm glad to see you stuck it to them.
