Had my first PANIC ATTACK this morning..........Anyone else?

Thanks Amy. I am certainly looking forward to my doc appt today.  I have been super stressed but never felt as "going postal" as I did yesterday. It was the weirded feeling. Besides all the craziness I felt as though my body was vibrating from the inside out. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Yes, I do, it can be very scary.  Now that you know what it was though, if it does happen again, try to take some very slow deep breaths, and close your eyes.  It helps if you dull your senses and slow down your breathing.  Good luck at the doctor today!

Glad you are going to the doc. Seeing that heart disease runs in your family, always rule that out first!
But with all the stress, it could be a panic attack.

I think you need to contact your social worker or case manager to see what kind of help you can get to lighten the load. Maybe a nursing assistant or helper that comes in every morning to help her bathe and dress, or every other day. It is a full time job to care for someone, do you have siblings that could help?

Thanks Maria! The RN just discharged her. I think everyone sees her as getting more mobile but she is still weak. They said it would be 5-6 weeks til she is 100% again but they stressed they eventually do not want her to be waited on hand and foot and want her to get around. So that may be a no for help.

I have 2 brothers but they are useless and don't even want them around. Long story there.

I hear ya about the family issues.
