Fitness Challenge - October 4
Wow...September gone and so goes the warm weather here. It's been raining like crazy and in this parts of the woods, that's not normal. BUT it's well welcomed!! Nice to hear t-storms @ 2am and the pounding of rain...only problem is flash floods and hydroplaning on the way to work. :)
So, how's the weather where you are? I hope ya'll had a wonderful weekend!! Tomorrow I go for my 6 week post gyn surgery check up and hope to be cleared for some fitness activities! I am thinking maybe elliptical or something. Although last night I cleaned up a bit including vacuuming and was a little whooped so we'll see what he says.
What are your fitness plans this lovely Monday?
Let's see if today we can increase our levels and push through our normal routine. Take extra steps, increase reps, etc.
I look forward to your posts stay safe and ROCK it LW's!!!

Wow, Diana - has it REALLY been 6 weeks? It really really seems like just a couple weeks ago that we were sending you off to surgery!
It seems that the only exercising I'm getting today is typing on the keyboard. :( My tummy is in revolt and I need to stay near the bathroom. And since I didn't sleep last night, I'm trying to get some rest, too. (Maybe that means I should close my computer for a bit?)
If I can get it together, I'll go downstairs for a light workout. Or not. Don't want to damage anything...
Hope everyone else is having a better day!

Diana - it felt and SMELLED like WINTER today. 39 degrees, had a hard frost, but the suns shining.
Today I'll be going to the gym, then zumba. I tore a treadmill routine out of a magazine yesterday I want to try. Its for 15 minutes but involves different speeds and inclines. I will do it at least 2 times. Supposedly it works you better that way? I've forgotten the word for it... mind fog this morning.
I think I'm going to hire a personal trainer one of these days. I need to get a good workout established for me - particularly weights/resistance training. I still am scared to do much core work as I can still feel the pulling with my TT and don't want to hurt anything there. That's why I decided against Pilates.

Hey Jody...are you talking about intervals? Those do work. I learned A LOT from a personal trainer. I think its a great investment for long term results. My guess you probably feel the scar tissue pulling (which the surgeon's have told me that scar tissue is exactly like velcro...weird huh) Anyways, go for it girl. Start out small and work up the strength. You won't regret it... :)
Zumba for me too!!! Can't wait until I can shake it again...lol

Almost an hr on the treadmill - did the interval then just ran/walked/whatever i felt like. Then I did zumba - it was SOOO hot in there - the mirrors were steamed up when we walked in there. It felt like a damp sauna... was a good workout though.
Zumba again tomorrow night!
