Kristin! Please keep in mind...according to the Endocrinologist Assoc. proper TSH levels are between .3-3.1 and the labs & Docs have not caught up with that. So 5.00 IS hypothroid. I go over 3.65 and I lose it. They changed those lab values in 2001. Doctors and labs have  not.

A TSH of 1.14 is perfect, exactly where you want to be.  I am not sure why your doctor cut your dose that is only going to increase your TSH back up.  I see an ENDO and have for years.  She tries her best to keep me around 1.0 and as soon as I get around 3.0, she increases my dosage to bring it back up.  The new range for TSH by the endocrine society is .3-3.0

That;s what I mentioned to her in my post. But I am best between a 2-3....I started to feel as though I was on 12 cups of coffee all the time. I was actually jittery everyday but now I am evening out at 250 mcg. I test again on Nov 10th....I feel great and not jittery anymore. Can't wait to see the results then. I use to feel good 100lbs more at a 1.14 but not at 159.

That is very odd, you were showing signs of hyperthyroid but your level was no where near hyper.  Does your doctor do your T3 and T4 levels as well?  It might be a problem there instead of a problem with your TSH.

Yes, it was weird. It tested everything, Even the anitbodies. But I am eager for the ultrasound and to see what my labs are on Nov 10. So far been feeling great though. I don't think Ihave ever been as low as 1.14 either. I have been under massive amounts of stress too so that could also be why feeling the "edginess" as well.

Good luck on the sonogram, I am going for one on Nov. 3rd.  They tend to find new nodules every time I go, last time I was up to 4 of them but thankfully they are all benign. I am glad you are feeling better. We are all so different, 6 months ago when my TSH was .3, I felt so much better than now it is at 3 I am dragging, falling on my face.  My Endo just increased my Cytomel because my T3 was also really low and when they redo my labs on Nov 3rd, if TSH is still at 3, she will then increase my Synthroid as well.
