what are U enjoying wearing now U never could before WLS ?
I'm all about this! I do the same.
I talked about my high boots last week. That's the most fun. I've always had skinny calves (though not quite skinny enough to fit in SOME boots) but had to be careful about what to wear as bottoms because my thighs were so fat. They're still kindof fat, but not nearly as much as they were. So the silhouette is very cute now. But I'm not quite there yet. I have a gorgeous pair of black prada boots I bought second hand (looked like they'd never been worn before) for $80 several years ago. Haven't been able to really wear them because they're really tight. I wore them the other day and they weren't nearly *as* tight, but they're still too small. They definitely designed them for the skinniest of legs (because, again, my calves are pretty skinny). These are probably going to be goal shoes, and they're totally hot because no one else is wearing them, but they're still on-trend. Can't wait!
Like Ava, I can walk much more in heels now. That's great, because they just look so much better. I just want to be careful, because the ladies of my family are blessed in that we don't wrinkle at all (it's true! you should see my mom and grandmothers) but at the same time, because they shared in that vanity (and the styles of before) they used to walk around everywhere in 3 and 4 in heels, and that has done horrible things to their feet and spines. Health matters, so I'm trying to be careful about this.
My clothes are all falling off me now. It makes me sad. So we'll see what size I'm into today. I'm going to Daffy's to try to find a suit. Wish me luck!

Well, I just bought winter white last week LOL
My newest thrill is wearing dresses, but the Oh My Goodnss moment for me was wearing panty hose in my new size last week and they did not roll, bulge or fall down. It was great ,now for some cute boots for winter,,,,,,,

Oh - I totally get the pantyhose thing! It was so awesome when I read the back of the package and bought an "A" instead of a "Q" - and they FIT!!

Well... my fashion sense kinda sucks. I see cute stuff in the store but have no idea what to wear it with.
I bought a pair of knee high boots last year on clearance and have worn them once. I think I wore them with jeans. I know I have all the clothes to make up some awesome outfits, but I need someone to come dress me in them! Tell me what looks good with others.
I too bought some winter white lined pants a month or so ago on a Talbots clearance rack. I wore them to work last week - think I wore dress pumps and a sweater with them - nothing too imaginative. I can't wear open toed/heels shoes to work and nothing over 2", so unless I'm going out I guess it doesn't really matter!
But - what I'm really loving is my closet full of jeans that look great on me! I also have a closet full of dresses now too -and no where to wear them! LOL. Wore lots of sundresses last summer - I just love them, and got lots of compliments with them. I also have bought leggins and the longer shirts. Haven't worn them much as I'm not really happy with the thigh/leg thing going on... and again, no place to wear them!

Jody,
A lot goes with things. Particularly if you're finding yourself buying in similar palettes. One way to try to work at this is to do some tv research. See what people are wearing - pay attention to how they do things. And watch some of those fashion shows like "What Not to Wear" (though I disagree with some of what they do, but, generally, they have good basic advice).
The key is to ROCK whatever it is that you wear. You can have a misguided outfit but walk with confidence, and people will think you're setting a new trend. :)
Or, just come on out here with your wardrobe and Ava and I can help.
hehe

Oooh - lots of things! I love those little camis with a baby-doll look to them (not real fluttery in the skirt, but just a bit), I love jeans with a loooooonnnggg leg heels, and I love sundresses! None of those things worked for me pre-op, but they all work now!
Unfortunately, with all the extra skin, my knee length skirts have to hit just below the knee... I pretty much have another panni at the top of each knee, and it's really pretty gross in anything that shows it off. So those, which used to be a staple for me, are on the way out until I have that skin pulled up and tightened.
