10 week update

I am ten weeks out today and about half way to my goal of 140 lbs.  I would be fine at 150 so where ever I wind up is ok.  My surgeon warned me I might not lose weight after my revision so I am very happy.  I am eating about 500 to 600 calories a day and getting about 80 grams of protein.  My NUT told me I should be getting about 800 calories a day so I am slowly increasing it.  I'm not very active though.  I still suffer from fatigue.  I was hoping the surgery would help and it has somewhat but not completely.  I know getting more activity would help.  I have a pool nearby and I would like to take water aerobic classes when I can afford it.
I also quit smoking.  I have been taking Chantix and that helped.  I couldn't afford it and I am hoping it will also help the fatigue.  I had cut back from 2 packs a day to about 4 or 5 but now I am off them completely.  I am worried about gaining weight even though I haven't changed the way I eat but I heard that quitting smoking can affect you metobolically.
Now that I don't smoke I am thinking about asking my doctor about hormone replacement.  She wouldn't consider it while I smoked.  I am 52 and the only symptoms I have had are being hot all the time (which has actually gotten a bit better since I've lost weight), the fatigue and low libido.  Would hormone replacement help with that?
One of the main reasons I had the revision was to end the chronic diarrhea I had and now  my problem is constipation.  I just started Miralax but I am hoping when I can eat more fiber that will help.

Admitting you need surgery,is not admitting failure...it is actually a step towards success.....:)

I was thinking about the patch, it's called the Vivelle Dot. I have heard good things about it. I'll see what my doctor recommends.
