Hi all,

I'm hoping one of you has a suggested vitamin list from VitaLady for folks with the RNY?  One of my friends and I are having a slight 'debate' if you will on what's best to take, especially for vitamin D.

Thanks!!!!

btw, if it's easier to email, please feel free to send to me at [email protected]

Angie, I have seen Gina post that before and I thought I saved it but I can't find it.  I am sure when she is feeling better she will see your post and give u the info!

And - to solve the debate regarding the D, RNYers need a DRY D3 - we cannot convert the conventional D2 to D3 anymore.

Thanks so much Jody!  I figured it was dry, but didn't realize it needed to be d3.  That helps A LOT!

Some D, like prescription D2 is packed in an oil capsule.  If you order D3 from vitalady or Bariatric Advantage you can get dry D3.  It'll be in a small clear capsule and will have a white powder inside.

To add on to what Frances said, because you malabsorb some fat, you might not get the full benefit of a vitamin that is oil based.  Dry is better, you will absorb it as there is no oil.

Thanks Angie - I thought thats what it might mean...I've been taking the oil capsules so this is good to know! Twin Labs makes these  tiny little D pills called "D Dots". They dissolve on your tongue. I  might go back to that. Great info!
