Being a grandmother is the best isn't it!  My grandson is 4-1/2!  That is wonderful you and your ex's all get along so well and you all can enjoy your daughter and granddaughter!
As far as weekend plans I had my gallbladder out yesterday so I am going to be taking it easy, plan on going to our lake house and just resting.  On Saturday there is a festival with craft booths so I plan on doing that for a while.

This weekend is our "annual fall girls day trip"!  My Mother, her best friend (that we've known since birth and we call Auntie), my two sisters, me and now my 3 yr old daughter all go each fall.  We go leaf peeping, go to harvest festivals, church fairs, farm stands and lunch all in one day!

Can't wait, it's supposed to be clear and "fallish" weather here in Mass too!

Hi Mara! Oh, I'm so envious of your leaf-peeping trip! It sounds like so much fun.  I lived in MA twice - first in my twenties with my dh as grad students, then again in our late 20's with 2 little babies ;)    We loved going leaf-peeping in the fall.  MA is so beautiful though, that we just enjoyed being around home for fall too.  I'd move back to MA in a second if I could!   

Oh we had such a great day!  I wa able to do something this year that I could never have done last year... I fit into this little train buggie with my 3 yr old on this tractor ride and my daughter & I laughed and laughed and had such a ball!  I am so thankful for this surgery that has allowed me to create more memories of "doing" things along with my daughter!  The weather was a beautiful fall day too!

We have no concrete plans as of yet.  There's a few Fall festivals going on, but Im not sure if the weather is going to cooperate.  It may just be a weekend of lounging around in the PJs.  Hope everyone has a great weekend.  Enjoy that Grandbaby Jody!   Cindy

I can't decide what to do. Mini-Mac almost being hit by a car has shaken me up and I'm having trouble making myself do the things I need to. I need to plot out a 30 mile bike course and I need to post a message to my list about meeting somewhere to swim, but I haven't done any of it.

(I realized I didn't post about that here... Mini-Mac and her friend were trying to cross a busy street and the friend got hit by a car! She was in pretty bad shape and they had to life-flight her to the nearby Children's Hospital and Mini-Mac had to give a statement to the police. Mr. Mac didn't see the accident but heard the screech from it as he was parking the car to pick up Mini-Mac from school and ran down and had to see and deal with all the aftermath. They were both pretty upset. Friend is going to be okay though -- lots of broken bones and a stressed spine but nothing that won't grow back or heal.)

I'm so sorry to read this about your MacFamily!!  Thank goodness we have Children's Hospital so close so that MacFriend could get fast treatment.  Has your heart stopped racing?  Did the driver stop?

The driver stopped but lots of others didn't even though they had to run over the girl's purse to continue on their way. Jerks!
