Hey everyone - can't you tell I'm excited the weekend is almost here?
I'm babysitting all weekend! Yep, that precious little angel (I say that now as I had a good nights sleep last night - lol). I had to talk my daughter into letting me sit for her. She's going up to Mackinac Island to be in a wedding. I convinced her that sleep, having fun partying for a night, and then more sleep would be good for her. Once I said that, she readily gave in!
I'm entertaining both of the ex's this weekend, as they both want to see her. My first ex (real granddad) is babysitting for me in the morning so I can go to the gym. The other one (step granddad) will be taking us out to dinner tonight.
Other than that, housework and laundry inbetween baby naps (and maybe mine).

That sounds like such fun. I don't think babies are in my future although I'm still hoping my daughter will change her mind.
Mackinac also is one of the places to visit on my bucket list.
I'm scoring for a horse show Sat and hopefully getting some paperwork caught up on Sunday. Plus cooking stuff I can puree and the guys can eat. Looking forward to cooking more again.

Tomorrow I am doing my regular Saturday shopping with my mom, then home to work on the yard because we are having a HUGE bonfire/party next weekend.
Sunday I'm going to a big family get together at a state park nearby to celebrate all of the October birthdays in the family.
Today I am in pj's all day, doing my eyebrows and nails, etc.

Oh Jody, it sounds like you are going to have a blast this weekend and I bet you won't mind getting up and cuddling her during the night.
I'm mad at the post office today and I've been ranting! I have over 200 day care providers who haven't gotten their attendance sheets yet and our phone is ringing off of the hook. They only have until the 5th to get them back to me or their checks are going to be late. We are going to try and extend their time and we will have to put in extra hours to get them all processed. A major nightmare for me!!
I'm mad at the post office today and I've been ranting! I have over 200 day care providers who haven't gotten their attendance sheets yet and our phone is ringing off of the hook. I can see your halo from here! I didn't get one night off until Zach was around 2 years old. I could have used you in my life! Your daughter is so lucky to have you to willingly help her!
I have a lot of errands to do today between getting some work done. Pick up new glasses, go to Target to get cleaning supplies, go to the market, goof off on OH, exercise. Opps, exercise is not the number 1 on my list. I better take care of that. Oh, and kicking carbs will definitely take a little muscle this weekend too!
This week I have walks and hikes planned and maybe a movie. Swimming if it warms up around here. Definitely a manicure tomorrow or Sunday. I have to do laundry and set clothes aside for New Orleans. I just don't have that many clothes right now because I'm not willing to spend too much money on changing sizes. The handmedowns seem to have dried up lately and all I'm doing is handing down which is a joy in itself.
I'm reading Freedom, the book on Oprah's list. Anyone else reading it?

Oh Jody, you are going to have so much fun!! I'm there with you this weekend. DGD#2 came last night and is staying through Sunday afternoon. Her mom and dad have gone to the beach. She can walk and talk now so it is pretty active when she is awake. She is napping right now.
DGD#1 is coming tomorrow and they are having a play date all day. DH & I will probably be exhausted by Sunday afternoon - but it is a great exhaustion and I love it.

Its rain rain and more rain here in the new Seattle or London (New York City! ) LOL ...good that I have Pucci rain boots and thirteen ( count'em) raincoats lol !! Yep... Ill never want for silly schmattas !
The hurry up hurry up plan is to tweak some designs for fashion week that now have an amazingly short turnaround time of mere WEEKS (what happened to MONTHS ?!! ) with the retailers happily rejecting finished clothing if it comes in an HOUR late blaming the "recession " ( oh the CRUELTY to these always- struggling designers ) ....
i get to go to the fashion district tomorrow and Sunday and pick up MORE silly schmattas ( OOH FUN !! ) Anybody want to make a business selling my silly shmattas seriously ? I am sitting on what has to be 100 grand retail EASILY of GORGEOUS beautifully made current clothes someone would give a lot to own which i would HAPPILY let go for one fifth of what a department store would get ( or less) ... and we would still make money because i got them for nothing ... ( well honestly a lot of hard work )
I really need a partner to make a website and send them out ..i could even do the modeling and the photography part myslef and email U the pictures .... NY city based or its emvirons would be ideal so i could drop off the actual clothes to U ....
we could even maybe work into an EXISTING website ....there are plenty that deal with samples and celebrity one -offs ....
fiance is taking me out to dinner Friday nite and leaving me alone rest of weekend and decluttering his house on his own YAY !!!
God truly is GOOD because I wasnt sure I could face that mess again ....for any amount of love or money honestly ....
