IT'S FRIDAY!!!!    I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT GINA ALL MORNING.  CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR THAT EVERYTHINGS FINE AND SHE IS ON HER WAY HOME!!  I AM AMAZED THAT THEY ARE GOING TO SEND HER HOME RIGHT AFTER SURGERY.

Good Morning Roz! This has been the most hectic week of my life. I have nothing to do today and after running this morning, I took a shower, put on clean pajamas, and I'm going to relax all day. (Let's see how long I make it). I've totally stayed on track with my menus, still planning a day in advance, sorry I haven't posted.

B: 1 scoop GNC Wheybolic Extreme w/1.5C coffee
S: 1 scoop GNC Wheybolic Extreme w/1.5C coffee
L: Turkey cheddar brat, 3/4C baby carrots
S: Carbmaster yogurt, nectarine
D: 2oz scallops, 1 Wasa flatbread, 1oz skim mozzarella
S: 1C asparagus

Cal: 813, Fat: 16, Carb: 57, Prot: 106
Water: 6C so far, Vitamins: Done
Exercise: Ran 45 minutes, 30 push-ups(10real, 20girl), 200 crunches, plank

I'm just glad you are staying on track.  That would be hard for me if I wasn't accountable to someone.  On second thought maybe not...my jeans are so tight today they are keeping me accountable....LOL

I'm pretty good at holding myself accountable. Like I said, still planning and measuring my food the day before, so it's easy to grab and go. Also, it's easy to make adjustments after doing my totals, before I eat something I shouldn't have.

 Hi Shannon,

Which flavor protein are you putting in your coffee.  I was just checking it out at GNC.  It looks like 1 scoop is 90 calories and 20 protein.  I've been using the GNC Hydro Whey which is 140 calories and 30 protein per scoop.  I've tried protein powder in decaf coffee but it makes it sweeter than I can tolerate.

 This week I added the protein powder with a bit of soymilk and heated it for hot cocoa.  That wasn't bad but still really sweet.

Have you ever tried the Hydro Whey?  If yes, how does it compare to the Wheybolic?

I'm trying really hard to get in more protein without upping my calories.

Hey, Lee. I was wondering if you've tried flavorless low carb whey protein? I don't know about GNC but I'd think they would have something or VitaminShoppe, or even better, Vitalady . You could blend your creamer or water with the powder and then add brewed coffee or tea over top.

Hi Gina,

What are you doing up young lady and how are you feeling? 

I tried flavorless protein and just gave away the canister that I bought.  I couldn't stand the smell of it and wanted to gag as soon as I opened it.  I do have a sample packet of Unjury that I can try again.  Thanks for the suggestion!

I like the cookies and cream in my coffee the best, but I can't stand it plain. I like the chocolate too. I do like the chocolate mixed with water. I have not tried the hydro whey. I know the wheybolic extreme mixes really well with water and coffee.

Thanks Shannon, I'll see if I can get some samples.  I think the Hydro Whey that I'm using is about the same as what you use in terms of calories/protein so maybe I'll just keep using that one and try it with water instead of 4 oz soymilk.  I do love the Trader Joe's unsweetened soy because it adds protein for only 3 carbs for 8 ounces.
