It's quite a journey! My diabetes and htn are gone! I love my rny!!

 Thanks. You look so young for diabetes and high blood pressure! Thought it only crept up on us oldies. I have tried and failed at diet and metformin, so RNY is my answer to getting my health back. I like seeing your dog in your picture.

 Wendy, the diseases related to obesity don't just prey on the older folks.  I think that the schools are starting to see real problems associated with our "morbidly obese" younger population.  I think it's so frightening to think that some of these youngsters will never grow old.  Don't even get me started on the "supersize that please" generation.   Things aren't going to change until the advertising world takes our kids off the leash that drags them around promising to make life better with more food.
