yayyyyyyyyyyyy for you
you def did the right thing . as moms we have been always in the back burner not anymore....
when my kids were small all the way thru adult hood we had " family conferences" once a month the 4 of us would sit around the kitchen table and spill our guts it could be about anything. for ex id say to my son whos now 31 about taking out the garbage. my daughter whos now 29 would say to her brother i dont like when u do this or do that. id tell my hubby about leavinbg the lights on all the time or the tv lol thru the years , they have been so helpful we r a very very close knit family and i believe those family conferences "thank you mom" has helped tremendously i hope my kids have their family conferences of their own when the time comes

Thanks Darlin'! I spent a really long time resizing the picture to fit in my signature without cutting off my ticker! Someone (I forget who) wanted names in the signatures so she would know who she was talking to, but since I don't have any "stats" in my signature, it looked funny, so this was my answer!
Good for you! You set a shining example for me and you are an inspiration.
My daughter drove me to my appointment with my PCP today and I got lectured there and back about how I won't change my eating, I won't get to goal and I don't focus on exercise, blah, blah, blah. I would liked to have smacked her, but I kept quiet. My PCP (as well as the surgeon and everyone else who has asked) said he doubted I would get to my self-appointed goal of 115. I AM GOING TO SHOW ALL OF THEM!!! If I can't get respect from anyone else, I will have self respect, right?

ABSOLUTELY!!! You are doing this for yourself you deserve to be healthy and happy and don't you forget it. Your surgery will control your eating habits. Just follow the rules of the pouch. No drinking with meals, get your protein in, pray alot and he will do the rest. They don't realize whose child you are. He has led you to this point in your life. He has carried you when you couldn't carry yourself. You will get to goal and you will have the self respect and encouragement that you deserve. Kick some weight loss butt! The best thing you can do is focus on your goal and turn their negativity into positive action. YOU ARE WORTH IT. Good luck you are doing great!
