Day 6 postop..... 1st visit to the surgeon

Can we say a big woo-hoo?! Saw the surgeon and the NUT today. Got to totally skip pureed foods and move on to mushies. Stopped on the way home at Ruby Tuesday and had 1/4 piece of broiled whiting with herbs.   HEAVEN!  No pain, no slimies, all good.   My incisions are fine and my energy is getting better every day.

I am a little disappointed in my weight loss so far but not unexpected. I carried 3 extra pounds of fluid home from the hospital so really my net loss for 6 days is 5-1/2 pounds.  Hmmm... when I write it, it doesn't sound bad at all.

Great news...wt loss too....I lost about a lb a day for about one week, then it slowed down to about 2-3 lbs a week. Enjoy the mushies. Your are doing great!!
